Avery's Kindy 500...

At Mapleton Elementary School, the Kindergarten classes have a Kindy 500! This is where all the kids make a car out of a cardboard box at home and then parade around the school! They make several "stops" around the "USA" and learn about historical people and events! (I got to be the Statue of Liberty in NYC and teach the kids about how Lady Liberty came to be)! Avery picked out the color of her car....and her racing stripe tape! Her and her dad made her car together and she was so proud of how it turned out!!

The headlights and hood ornament!

and a Utah liscense plate, of course!

Lining up for the parade at school!

lots of cute and creative cars....

What a fun day! I love how excited Kindergarten kids are to learn new things!
